French Davis Cup captain and 1991 winner Guy Forget will be the tournament director of the BNP Paribas Masters from 2012. He will take over from Jean-François Caujolle, who has been director for the past five years and who has helped the tournament to make great strides forward in terms of the players it attracts, the entertainment on offer to the fans and also the number of tickets sold, which has doubled during that period of time.

Forget (photo, left) will also be part of the organising committee for the French Open from next year onwards, and will continue in his role as French Davis Cup captain for 2012. Gilbert Ysern (centre), director general of the French  Tennis Federation (FFT) congratulated Caujolle (right) on a successful five years at the helm during a press conference held at the Palais Omnisports on Saturday afternoon before the semi-finals, and expressed every confidence on behalf of the FFT in Forget as future director of a tournament which has grown in success and reputation over the years.
